At Ironclad, we are always looking for ways to support continuing legal education for our community of peers. Most recently, we hosted our first Sunrise Counsel breakfast meeting in partnership with Bay Area firm Fenwick & West LLP.
The event was held in Fenwick & West’s downtown San Francisco office and featured a panel discussion on “Late Stage Equity Compensation Issues and Trends.” Our guest panelists included:
- Shawn Lampron, Co-chair, Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits at Fenwick & West
- Mark Lee, Vice President, Legal at LendingHome
- Michael Wu, General Counsel at Carta
Moderator Thomas Kang, Startup and Venture Capital attorney at Fenwick & West, led an engaging conversation on employee equity compensation, the role of equity for startup recruiting and talent retention in today’s market, and employees’ abilities to exercise vested stock options absent a liquidity event. View the panel discussion in its entirety here.
