Ironclad Jurist is an AI contract partner designed for in-house legal teams. Built on top of Ironclad’s enterprise ready, and secure Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) infrastructure, Ironclad Jurist helps users draft, redline, summarize, and analyze risk. Designed with a native .docx interface, users can prompt Ironclad Jurist to perform nearly any legal task and will receive personalized and up-to-date legal outputs–helping lawyers take back their time, reach positions faster and explore new legal angles.

How does Ironclad Jurist source answers?

Ironclad Jurist sources answers through five primary sources:

– The contextual data: User-provided insights like executed contracts, playbooks, and templates, are uploaded to Ironclad Jurist with prompts or as precedent.
– Proprietary legal AI Models: Ironclad Jurist is trained on legal terminology, contract management architecture, and built with legal-engineered prompts created by Ironclad.
– Access to the internet: Ironclad Jurist has real-time access to the latest legal knowledge from vetted sources.
– Multi-agent AI models: Ironclad Jurist utilizes distinct agents to perform highly technical chain-of-thought prompting. This allows Ironclad Jurist to take a complex prompt and produce a well-constructed answer/document.
– Generative AI: Ironclad Jurist leverages multiple LLMs to review, craft, edit and research legal documents. As systems advance, Ironclad will update infrastructure accordingly.

How many documents can be uploaded?

There is no limit to the number of documents that can be uploaded. Through our multi-agent model approach, Ironclad Jurist is able to process any number of documents, chunking data to be processed in real time.

What types of files are supported?

.docx files and PDFs can be uploaded, and Ironclad Jurist can generate .docx files as output or to be downloaded directly to Word.

Does Jurist train off the IP I put into it? Both the docs I upload and prompts I type?

Ironclad does not use your data for AI training unless your organization has explicitly opted in.

By default, all current customers are opted out. Some new customers may be opted in by default, but administrators can change this setting at any time. Ironclad will only use customer data for AI training if the organization has chosen to opt in (or remains opted in).

Additionally, Ironclad maintains Zero Data Retention (ZDR) agreements with OpenAI and other third-party AI providers, meaning your data is not retained by those providers when used to deliver Jurist functionality.
