Meet Natalie Stam, a software engineer on our product team.
Tell us about yourself.
I have a master’s in data science, and worked in analytics at Instacart and Thirdlove. Along the way, I fell in love with product work, and was looking for a way to make a bigger impact. I ended up taking a chance and quit my job to attend a software engineering bootcamp, which is how I found my way to Ironclad.
Why Ironclad?
I was looking for a company where I could surround myself with incredibly smart and passionate people, and where I could grow to feel like an owner of an amazing product. I was incredibly impressed with Ironclad’s vision coming in, but really fell in love with Ironclad after meeting the team and seeing how passionate everyone was about the mission.
What has been your favorite win or project so far?
I’m currently working on metrics and reporting for workflows. It will allow legal teams to point to specific metrics that prove their impact, so I’m really excited to be working on this project!
What career advice would you give your younger self?
I always loved math/science, but veered more towards arts/writing because it felt more feminine. I completed my undergrad in a subject I have almost no interest in because of this. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to trust my gut, and not be afraid to major in the nerdier subjects that I ended up getting my master’s in.
Where would we find you outside of work?
I’m obsessed with food. You can either find me at home cooking or baking bread, or trying out new restaurants in the Oakland food scene.
