It’s easy to think that every legal conference is cut from the same cloth. Powerpoints, CLE credits, rinse and repeat. At Ironclad, we don’t settle for the status quo. That’s why when we decided to create our own conference — Apex: The Modern GC Summit — we committed to building an event not solely focused on legal challenges of today, but also with a keen eye to the future of our industry.

So, what’s going to make Apex different? Let me explain.

Unprecedented Diversity

Driving diversity within Legal is a personal mission of mine and it’s a vision I share with my fellow leaders at Ironclad. One of Ironclad’s main goals with Apex is to gather the most diverse roster of speakers ever seen at a legal conference. Why? Because the future of Legal will be more diverse, both in terms of the types of careers available in our profession and the backgrounds, races and genders of new generations of legal leaders. By representing as many perspectives within Legal as possible, we have a significant opportunity to define and shape the future of our industry and provide actionable steps to encourage vital diversity.

A Curated Audience of In-house Legal

In-house Legal is only just beginning to see the benefits of rising, best-in-class tech tools and the value of contract data. And we’ve only just begun to confront the challenges of innovating processes that have gone untouched for decades. One of our core goals is to focus our Apex programming on the specific needs of in-house legal leaders at various stages of organizational modernization. So, we are intentionally limiting Apex attendance to in-house teams in an effort to maximize the potential impact of our speakers and content. 

Establishing and maintaining a core community of in-house legal is one of Ironclad’s foundational commitments. All perspectives and experiences shared at Apex will reflect best practices to help conference attendees prepare for the future of Legal within their respective businesses.

Apex will not be the typical Legal conference. Our goal is to educate and, more importantly, inspire our in-house community to see the new heights possible for Legal.
