Tell us about yourself.

I tell people I’m from Ohio but I’m really a vagrant. I’ve lived in eight states and my favorite is California. I studied at Duke and Harvard Law and thought I wanted to be a litigator, but left the lawyer track for Palantir when I realized I wanted to do more creative, generative work. I was the first marketing hire at Ironclad and have helped build the team and craft the Ironclad narrative. I view my career as really an exploration of all the ways I can challenge myself to grow, whether that’s learning a new skill or way to work with people.

Why Ironclad?

I could perceive, even in the early days, that Ironclad was something special. Firstly, Jason Boehmig is an amazing leader. When I met him, I had already met with a number of CEOs and I could tell he was different. He wasn’t just talking a big game, he was also focused on execution and clearly in love with his work. He has the grit, drive, and stamina to do whatever it takes to succeed, but he also cares deeply about doing things the right way. The team and culture also played an important role. Seeing that the first engineering hire and first sales hire were both women made me feel that this was a place that would value and celebrate diversity, which is important to me.

What’s your favorite win so far?

Building the team by hiring our Community Manager, Vera Devera. She’s amazing at what she does and has redefined what community means at Ironclad.

Who inspires you?

My husband, Michael Peng. He is deeply good and kind, the type of person who would never throw another person under the bus or steal water during the apocalypse. He inspires me every day to be myself, to be decent, and to care about the right things.

What career advice do you have for your younger self?

Your career is whatever you want it to be. Take risks. Meditate. Learn something from everything.

What’s the last book you’ve read?

“Gilead” by Marilynne Robinson.

What’s something that most people would be surprised to know about you?

I can do really good impressions of Britney Spears and Shakira.

When you’re not at work, you are ____?

At home trying to force my three cats to cuddle with me.
